Re: Season Rules and Driver Briefing
Hello all!
So basicly, it'll just be us lot racing the 2011 calendar. Scores will be recorded on here to keep a running total, I will also keep them on a spreadsheet for safe-keeping.
The way this is gonna work is just that we set a date for each race weekend, and we all go on XBL at that time and take part. At the moment, my thoughts are towards a Quali-Race weekend (they don't give the option for practice). Also included may be a 'practice' immediately beforehand, or the day before, which would just be a Grand Prix of 30% distance with no AI to get used to the track. Of course, people can feel free to practice in single-player as much as they like.
Rules, that are subject to change through the season as we progress with skill, are are as follows:
As we have a variety of skill levels, the assists so far will be:
The subject of AI difficulty is subject to change, currently favoured is Professional difficulty, as they provide at least some level of challenge, unlike Intermediate AI...
If i've missed anything, point it out

- Full Rules and Flags
- Full Tyre simulation
- Full fuel simulation
- 2011 car performance
- Full damage
- 60% race distance (can be extended up to 100%, or lowered to 50% due to opinion)

- No Braking assist
- Full ABS allowed
- Full traction control allowed
- Automatic gearing allowed
- Dynamic racing line allowed

Re: Season Rules and Driver Briefing
If we use 2011 Car Performance how will we assign Players to Race Teams? Do we do it randomly or assign handicaps?
At the moment I favour 50% Distance especially if we have Qualifying right before the race to keep race time length down to a manageable level. That way we can move through the Season at a sensible pace as well.

Re: Season Rules and Driver Briefing
Yeah sounds good.
I was thinking with teams that to start with we could start with mid range teams giving us
6 slots. Sauber, Force India and Torro Rosso. (Depending on numbers)
All these cars are fairly similar and should make thing fairly fair to start with.
Maybe later on we could sort out teams by ability. So worse drivers would end up Red Bulls and McLarens with the best drivers would proabably end up in the Renaults or Mercedes (depending on how many drivers we have) (and if anyone would prefer to drive Red Bulls as Brits when there are McLarens available )
This would help balance the field although raw pace is not everything as you still have to get them around the corners
Any comments?

A grand total of 8 Drivers...

Re: Season Rules and Driver Briefing
Equal performance cars sounds like a good idea, maybe 2nd season we could use 2011 spec once we have a good ranking of the drivers
